If you’ve loaded up Aviamasters 2: Halloween expecting spinning reels and paylines, you’re in the wrong place. BGaming has completely ditched the traditional slot grid here, opting instead for a crash-style arcade game. As the Halloween edition of Aviamasters 2, it trades standard aviation gear for a spooky night sea, a purple seaplane, and a sky full of ghosts.

It carries a 97% RTP, the same figure as BGaming’s Train Heist Johnny Cash. Here’s what you need to know before you take flight.

The Flight Path: Math Disguised as Magic

The premise is simple: your plane flies toward a castle island. The multiplier starts at a flat 1.0x, and your payout depends entirely on what you collect, and what you hit, along the way.

The sky is filled with tokens. Blue tokens add to your multiplier (+1, +2, +5, and +10), while purple tokens multiply your running total (x2, x3, or x4). Because the math is strictly sequential, the order of collection is everything. Grabbing a +10 token before hitting an x2 multiplier is worth a lot more than doing it in reverse.

The downside? Ghosts. Every time your plane hits a ghost, your current multiplier is sliced in half. If you crash into the water before reaching the island, you lose your stake.

My experience: You need to adjust your expectations regarding what a “win” looks like. Because you start at 1.0x and ghosts constantly halve your progress, reaching the island doesn’t guarantee a profit. Over a few dozen rounds, about half my flights reached the island, but many handed back frustrating fractional wins like 0.4x or 0.9x my stake. The real money in this game relies on rare, clean runs. My session was saved by two lucky flights that dodged the ghosts and landed at 14.5x and 10x.

In-Flight Boosters

To help you survive, the game throws in four random power-ups.

  • Nitro: Blasts you safely past upcoming ghosts.
  • Laser Gun: Shoots and destroys ghosts in your path.
  • Magnet: Pulls nearby multiplier tokens directly into your flight path.
  • Lifebuoy: Gives you a second chance if your plane clips the water.

These are fun visual additions that give the game a video-game feel, but keep in mind they don’t trigger a separate bonus game. They simply help you survive the base game long enough to cash out.

Water Skis for 50x

There are no free spins here. Instead, you can buy the “Safe Landing” feature for 50x your base bet. This equips your plane with water skis, meaning if you crash into the water, the round pays whatever your multiplier is sitting at instead of nothing.

I have to be completely fair here and point out a quirk in the arithmetic that might catch players off guard. The final payout is calculated based on your base bet, not the 50x you paid to launch the feature.

Put simply: any water landing with the meter under x50 loses money on the round, even though the skis did exactly what they promised and saved your multiplier. You really need a massive multiplier run to make this feature buy profitable, so use it with caution.

Pacing and Potential

BGaming included four speed settings, ranging from a leisurely seven-second glide to a lightning-fast blur. The RNG math underneath is identical regardless of how fast the plane flies.

The ultimate goal is the 1,000x maximum win. To hit it, you’ll need a perfect storm of RNG: stacking heavy addition tokens early, hitting big multipliers late, and keeping the ghosts completely out of the sky.

The medium-low volatility means your bankroll won’t vanish in the blink of an eye, and the 97% RTP is incredibly generous by modern casino standards.

However, the frequent fractional wins (paying out less than your bet despite “winning” the round) might frustrate high-volatility slot fans, and the math behind the 50x Safe Landing is a hard sell.
